The Lovey Lambswool collection is a special and unique project very close to our hearts as each sling is hand woven by a women weaver’s cooperative in Nepal. Buying one of these gorgeous slings helps to empower this collective of women who mobilised their skills to dream of a better life of social and economic empowerment. The proceeds from sales of the products they weave is the sole source of income for the women who own and manage the enterprise. The fabric dyes used for the hand woven lambswool slings are either ISO/AZO free or vegetable dyed from local plants, berries bark or flowers.
Lambswool has hydrophilic properties as it is a temperature regulating fibre. Lambswool is very breathable; it draws moisture away from the body thus keeping baby warm when it’s cold and cool when it’s warm. T
All Lovey Lambswool slings are double layered for support and reversible. As each sling is hand woven by one of the weavers, no two are every exactly alike! Washable on a wool cycle, these slings are durable and fashionable whilst being eco-sustainable and ethical.
The Seaside Sand Lambswool Lovey features a 3 colour stripe pattern on one side and a fashionable houndstooth check on the other.
